Zwide clinic staff stage protest over working conditions

Healthcare workers and community members are protesting outside the Zwide Clinic in Gqeberha, over what they say are critical staff shortages and a lack of essential medication.

The clinic has been without an operational manager since November, and only has seven nurses a day, despite requiring 14 nurses to fully function.

The Clinic Committee says the absence of an operational manager has also affected staff morale and conduct.
