Gaza ceasefire at risk: US-backed Board of Peace warns against collapse

Warning that Gaza’s ceasefire is at risk, the US‑backed Board of Peace has presented a roadmap to the UN Security Council outlining obligations for Israel and Hamas. Envoy Nickolay Mladenov urged pressure for Hamas disarmament and pressed Israel to meet its commitments. Since the ceasefire, at least 880 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks; aid access remains constrained and 800,000 people live in unsanitary shelters. Trauma surgeon Dr Teresa Soldner described ongoing bombardment and daily trauma cases.
