Initiation season in E Cape marred by controversy

Another initiation season in the Eastern Cape has been marred by controversy and sorrow, as seven families are mourning the deaths of young boys during this winter season.

Dehydration accounted for most these fatalities while two initiates of the same family at Centane died due to suspected food poisoning.

In addition, law enforcement agencies have arrested seven individuals for illegally circumcising young boys.
