#Ljubljana hosts #volleyball like never before

In Slovenia, volleyball has taken on a new form, where players from around the world compete in a unique tournament held on water in the heart of Ljubljana.

The court is set in the Ljubljanica River, with the playing surface sitting 15 centimeters below the water's surface. First introduced as a showcase event in 2019, volleyball on water became an official tournament four years later, with the competition now featuring both men’s and women’s finals.
