Russian Orthodox Church expands its influence across Africa amid war in Ukraine

Russia's influence in Africa is growing and the battle for hearts and minds is increasingly being fought through faith.
The Russian Orthodox Church says more than 200 African parishes have pledged allegiance to Moscow since 2022.
For some worshippers, it's about shared values. For others, it's another sign of the Kremlin's expanding footprint across the continent.
