Knysna Oyster Festival wraps up on Sunday

The curtain comes down this weekend, on the 43rd annual Knysna Oyster Festival in the Western Cape, bringing to an end ten days of sport, entertainment and community celebrations.

The festival provides a massive economic boost to the town during the quiet winter months, with restaurants, accommodation establishments, retailers and tourism operators benefiting from the thousands of visitors.

Last year (2025), it generated about R41 million and created more than a thousand temporary jobs.
