Death toll in Hennenman shooting rises to five

The death toll of the Hennenman shooting incident has risen to five, after one of the victims succumbed to injuries at Bongani Hospital in Welkom. This after a 47-year-old police official stationed in Hennenman as a Rural Safety Coordinator allegedly shot five people, in the early hours of Sunday. The shooting led to three fatalities at the scene. And two people sustained injuries, before the officer took his own life. One victim who was taken to hospital has also died, leaving a cloud of grief hanging over the family.
