Mafarafara residents fund corrugated iron bridge after municipal inaction

Residents of Mafarafara in Burgersfort, Limpopo have built their own bridge across the Tubatse River using corrugated iron.

The makeshift bridge connects Mafarafara to Ga-Taung Village, giving residents access to clinics and schools.

Community members say years of appeals to the Fetakgomo Local Municipality had gone unanswered.
