Phala Phala theft case back in court

The Modimolle regional court is expected to make ruling on the applications by the defense lawyers to drop charges against the accused. The three accused persons in the Phala Phala farm theft case have applied to be released arguing that the state didn't present evidence to link them with the crime. The accused, Imanuwela David, Joseph siblings - Froliana and Ndilinasho - allegedly broke into President Cyril Ramaphosa's farm and stole 580 thousand US dollars. The Joseph siblings are out on bail while David has been in custody for the February 2020 theft.
