Speakers Wetang'ula and Kingi sued for politicking contrary to the constitution

The two Speakers of both the Upper and Lower houses have been sued for participating in active politics instead of being neutral as required by law. In the Petition, Human Rights Organisation Vocal Africa is challenging the conduct of Moses Wetang'ula and Amason Kingi in participating in several political events between June and July this year. The petitioner wants the High Court to issue permanent orders barring them from participating in campaigns and acting independently. Details in the Scales of Justice Segment.
