Wrapping up the 2026 NATO summit in Ankara, on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington will grant Kyiv a license to produce Patriot interceptor missiles, necessary to prevent Russian ballistic attacks.
On Tuesday, Ukraine also secured drone deals with Estonia, Denmark, and the Netherlands, while Trump signaled his willingness to enter into a similar agreement.
Ukrainian drones overnight struck nine more oil tankers belonging to Russia’s so-called shadow fleet, with electrical substations in occupied Crimea also coming under fire.
This comes as Russian strikes against Ukraine over the last day have claimed the lives of seven people and wounded over 150 more.
To discuss the outcome of NATO summit in Ankara for Ukraine, Ukraine Brief’s host Ashim Kumar is joined by Yevheniia Kravchuk, a Member of the Ukrainian parliament.
