Fuel hikes see taxi fares increase

Taxi fares have recently increased following a hike in petrol prices.

SANTACO has stated that the increases were unavoidable, as operators continue to battle rising input costs accross the board.

According to the organisation local trips have increased by between R2 and R6 while the price of long distance routes have increased by between R10 and R30 depending on operational pressures.
