Unstable New York City skyscraper sparks major Manhattan evacuation

Emergency crews evacuated a Manhattan street block during Tuesday's (July 7) morning rush hour, after structural support columns buckled inside a skyscraper undergoing renovation, officials said. Multiple floors of the building, which used to be Pfizer's corporate headquarters, were also sagging. No injuries were reported. The developer said the damage was confined to a small section of the building and insisted there was no risk of it collapsing. #newyorkcity #news #nycnews
