Lieutenant-General Puleng Dimpane has been appointed Acting National Police Commissioner. This after President Cyril Ramaphosa placed National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola on precautionary suspension pending the finalisation of a case he is facing. Masemola faces four charges relating to the contravention of the Public Finances Management Act. These relate to the contract awarded to Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala’s Medicare24.
