North West holds Hiking Day to promote healthy living

Over 450 hikers descended on the small border town of Zeerust in the North West for the Provincial Hiking Day at Klein Marico.

The Provincial Hiking Day is a flagship event organised by the Department of Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation, in partnership with local hiking clubs.

The event, organised under the theme "Promoting Adventure Tourism and a Healthy Lifestyle", aims to promote outdoor recreation, environmental awareness and a healthy lifestyle.
