Pigsty murders | Double murder trial against Olivier continues

The double murder trial against a Limpopo pig farmer has been adjourned to Wednesday, 8 July in the High Court in Polokwane.

The matter is in a trial-within-trial to determine the admissibility of the statement given by the accused, Zacharia Olivier, to the police.

Olivier argues that he gave the statement under duress.

In a statement, Olivier confessed to killing one of the women.

He is being cross-examined by the state prosecutor Advocate George Sekhukhune.

Olivier and his co-accused, William Musora, are being tried for the murders of Maria Makgato and Kudzai Ndlovu, whose remains were found inside a pigsty at a farm at Onverwacht outside Polokwane in August 2024.
