#Poland seizes #gold bars in #border #smuggling case

Poland’s National Revenue Administration has uncovered a scheme aiming to illegally transport gold bars into Poland.

A Ukrainian citizen attempted to enter Poland with three bars of gold hidden in her vehicle. Poland’s National Revenue Administration estimated the value of the bars at roughly 350 thousand euro, with each bar weighing around 3 kilos. Anyone wanting to enter the European Union must declare monetary means equal or exceeding 10 thousand euros.
