Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed the deep-rooted friendship between India and Indonesia during PM Modi's visit to Jakarta.

President Prabowo described himself as a great admirer of PM Modi, saying he had studied and adopted several of his governance policies.

He also remarked that he had "Indian DNA," calling it a symbol of the two nations' shared heritage, mutual trust, and centuries-old civilisational ties.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the enduring cultural connect between India and Indonesia, noting the popularity of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in Indonesia and saying that when the two countries work together, "much more" is possible.

He underscored cooperation in connectivity, supply chains, trade, and development, while highlighting India's achievements over the past 12 years, including direct benefit transfers, affordable housing for the poor, and inclusive growth.
