Ongoing NSFAS and allowance protests at UNISA

Some University of South Africa students have gathered outside the Sunnyside Campus in Pretoria, demanding payment of their delayed June 2026 NSFAS allowances.

They say the delays have left many unable to buy food, basic necessities, and data for online learning, placing their academic progress at risk.

The university says payment processing has already begun, and that all eligible students have received remittance advice.
