Singapore to invest S$800 million in transport research and innovation over five years

Singapore will invest S$800 million in transport research and innovation over the next five years. The funding, which comes under the National Research Foundation's RIE2030 plan, is more than double the amount committed over the last five years and aims to strengthen Singapore's position as a global transport and connectivity hub. Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow said Singapore must continue investing in new technologies to stay competitive as global supply chains become increasingly digital.
