Trump confirms call at centre of red card controversy 'with massive political consequences'

President Donald Trump confirmed he asked FIFA boss Gianni Infantino to review the "horrible" decision to hand a red card to star US striker Folarin Balogun but said he did not request it be overturned. Belgium, who the US will be playing in the quarterfinal, have called the decision 'incomprehensible' and a 'a blatant violation of the most basic rules of football and sport'.
