Poland ramps up military readiness as fears grow over Russia’s war in Ukraine

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen says the latest attacks show Ukraine urgently needs more air defence and that it will be discussed at the NATO summit.
That's where Poland is taking centre stage as one of the alliance’s most critical front line states.
It now spends a larger share of its economy on defence than any other NATO member.
