G4S Security | Former employees want to work for Grootvlei Jail

Former employees of the G4S Security company at the then Mangaung Correctional Centre, who were left out when the 25-year lease contract lapsed in June, want to be absorbed into the renamed Grootvlei Maximum Correctional Centre.

The facility is now under the management of the Department of Correctional Services, and hundreds of the members, who are affiliated with the union POPCRU, want to be part of the Correctional Services.
