Keir Starmer reveals moment he decided to step down | BBC News

In his first interview since stepping down as UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer has said that his resignation “became an intensely personal decision” which was taken “ultimately” when he went to Chequers with his wife and children.

In an interview with the BBC's Chief Political Correspondent Henry Zeffman, Keir Starmer also said that while he didn’t want his premiership to end “at this point”, he accepts it with “good grace.”
