The Singapore government has not finalised its development plans for Gillman Barracks and Sunset Way and will continue engaging stakeholders before making a decision, said Minister of State for National Development Alvin Tan in parliament on Tuesday (Aug 4). He said Singapore must balance competing land needs, adding that while efforts are made to conserve heritage and greenery, "there will be times when we cannot avoid difficult trade-offs".
