Global aviation outlook: Lufthansa expects challenges to continue in the months ahead

Oil prices are declining as hopes rise again of an ease-off in geopolitical tensions and further stability in the supply of global crude. But traders are cautious, given the potential for incidents flaring up on the weekend. Jet fuel prices have tumbled as well since the US and Iran announced a preliminary peace deal. For airlines getting some breathing room from softer oil prices, there are still concerns over geopolitical risk and rising operating costs.
