Ratanda Water Protests | Two die as community protests escalate | Vaaldam road remains closed

Reports coming out of Ratanda, Heidelberg say a second person has died due to injuries after protesters and police clashed on Wednesday. The area has been without water for over three weeks.

The community say they have experienced interrupted water supply for months now.

Rand Water says Ratanda owes them over 20 million rand in unpaid water bills.
