Killers of British botanists sentenced to life

The three convicted killers of British scientists - Doctor Rodney and Doctor Rachel Saunders - aged 73 and 64 respectively - were each given double life sentences in the Durban High Court. The couple were murdered in 2018 at Eshowe and their bodies were later found in the Tugela River, in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
