Japan’s investment footprint in India is set for a major expansion. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said the target is to increase Japanese companies operating in India from around 1,500 to 3,000. Japan has committed ₹7 lakh crore in investment, with ₹1 lakh crore already realised in the first ten months.
