SA’s young chess talent headed to Sri Lanka

A Grade 3 pupil from Flora Park Comprehensive Primary School in Polokwane, Limpopo is among young chess players set to represent South Africa in the Commonwealth Chess Championship Tournament in Sri Lanka. Eight-year-old Ntokoto Mashava is part of a group of 20 chess players aged eight that will participate in the tournament in May. Mashava won a regional chess competition in March to secure his place in the global tournament.
