The two sides have agreed on a series of commemorative initiatives and events, with a strong focus on youth, to celebrate this milestone in a meaningful manner. As part of these celebrations, 2027 will be observed as the India–Japan Year of Shared Horizons. Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi
to visit Japan next year for the Annual Summit. Earlier today, shortly after the bilateral talks, both leaders participated in the India–Japan Joint Economic Forum. As I mentioned earlier, economic cooperation lies at the heart of the India–Japan relationship: Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary, during a special MEA briefing on the official visit of the Prime Minister of Japan to India.
