Western Cape bus crash claims 16 lives

Western Cape Traffic authorities have confirmed that 16 people have died in a bus accident on the N1 near Touwrivier Thursday morning.

Provincial Traffic Chief, Maxine Bezuidenhout says the accident occured just after midnight when the bus overturned with 73 passengers on board.

Two more people sustained serious injuries. Bezuidenhout says emergency services remain on the scene.
