Immigration Tensions | Over 150 arrested during Gauteng protests

More that 150 people were arrested in Gauteng during yesterday's demonstrations. Premier Panyaza Lesufi says most marches across the province were peaceful. Speaking at a Provincial Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure briefing in Johannesburg, Lesufi praised law enforcement using technology such as thermal drones and helicopters to monitor the protests.
