Ukraine could end war within two years – former U.S. ambassador | Ukraine Brief

Russian strikes against Ukraine have claimed the lives of six people over the last day, including an 18-year-old girl who died in an attack on a Kherson minibus.

Ukraine launched its own wave of attacks against Russia, striking a military manufacturing facility linked to Roscosmos in the Penza region, as well as a refinery in the city of Ufa.

Ukrainian monitoring channels have also reported that a bridge along a major highway between Donetsk and Mariupol has been destroyed.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Ireland as Dublin assumes the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union. Kyiv continues to push for the opening of the remaining five negotiation clusters for EU accession, after the first cluster was opened in June.
