Singapore's defence cannot rely on just hardware, capabilities not built overnight: Chan Chun Sing

Singapore's defence cannot rely on military hardware alone, with diplomacy, technology and strong international partnerships playing even bigger roles in an increasingly unstable world. That was a key message by Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing in a wide-ranging interview on CNA's Deep Dive podcast, where he also said Singapore must never become complacent about its security. Mr Chan added that Singapore avoids a "feast and famine" way to military investment because technology, equipment and skilled personnel take years to develop. Sherlyn Seah reports.
