Gaza's agricultural sector has been devastated since October 2023, with more than 94 percent of farmland damaged and cultivated land falling from approximately 9,300 hectares to just 400 hectares. Eighty-five percent of greenhouses have been destroyed, while restrictions on the entry of fertilisers, seeds and pesticides continue to compound the crisis. Farmers like Iyad al-Flait and Mohammed Abu Gharaba struggle to maintain what little remains, facing military encroachment, supply shortages and water scarcity.
Al Jazeera's Moath Al Kahlout reports from Gaza City, Palestine.
