June 30 | Situation in Hillbrow calm after shooting incident

The SANDF was roped in to assist with public order and policing following anti-illegal immigration marches across the Johannesburg CBD.

The deployment follows a shooting incident which reportedly left two people injured.

Marchers have since dispersed while law enforcement authorities continue to patrol the city.
