Japan PM Takaichi to make first official visit to India with energy cooperation high on agenda

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will be in India from tomorrow for a three-day visit. Tokyo said her first visit to New Delhi will mark a new chapter in ties, with energy cooperation expected to be high on the agenda. Both countries have been impacted by the prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which has hit the import of liquefied natural gas. Reports suggest both leaders could announce a joint task force for cooperation in stockpiling LNG. Neha Poonia reports from New Delhi.
