Australia's ban on live sheep exports by sea in 2028 has meant fewer jobs for Western Australian shearers as farmers turn from raising sheep to grain growing. A $140 million program called 'Beyond The Shed' is now re-training shearing teams to help them transition to new jobs that will keep them in regional communities.
