About 100 South Australian GPs are now qualified to diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for ADHD in adults and children eight years old and above – a process which some say is shorter and cheaper than going through a psychiatrist.
SA's Royal Australian College of General Practitioners is hoping another 100 GPs will be trained in ADHD treatment and diagnosis by the end of 2026.
