Bangkok governor extends tenure after securing most votes by large margin

Bangkok’s Governor Chadchart Sittipunt is set to be re-elected into office after Sunday’s local elections. The 60-year-old independent candidate secured the most votes by a large margin, extending his tenure as the leader of Thailand's capital. It’s the only province-level administration for which residents are able to directly elect their governor. Saksith Saiyasombut reports.
