Iran's deputy foreign minister said the first Joint Hormuz Committee meeting took place in Muscat, after multiple US media outlets reported that fresh talks between the two sides were planned for Tuesday, a claim Tehran has since shot down, prompting Trump to counter by saying it would go ahead.
