The Auditor General's (AG) Local Government Audit outcomes for 2024/25 found that only 39 out of 257 municipalities achieved clean audits.

Only two Limpopo municipalities receiving a clean audit, including the Polokwane Municipality.

The municipality has previously received four consecutive unqualified audit outcomes.
