Thai family mourns teen girl found dead in suitcase as Australian arrested

The family of a 17-year-old Thai girl whose body was found in a suitcase in Pattaya, Thailand said they were devastated by her death. An Australian man, Simon Peter Carmen, was arrested on Saturday (Jun 27) and charged with murder, after CCTV footage showed him entering a condominium with the girl and leaving with a suitcase hours later.

Carmen was recorded on camera at the police station telling the family that "it was out of my control".
