30 June | Security measures in place ahead of protests

Strong security measures have been put in place to prevent any crimes and violence ahead of national demonstrations on Tuesday June 30th. The police have flagged areas within KwaZulu-Natal as possible hotspots connected to the anti-immigrant demonstrations. Addressing, police officers during a multi-disciplinary parade in preparation for Tuesday, the Acting Police Minister called on police to uphold the law, while protecting citizen's right to gather peacefully.
