Employer of over 400 unpaid migrant workers returns to Singapore, passport impounded: MOM

The employer of more than 400 migrant workers who were owed salaries has returned to Singapore and is assisting with investigations.

Speaking to the media at Kranji Recreation Centre on Jun 28, Minister of State for Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash said the employer, Mr Ramu Palani Velu, has had his passport impounded.

Mr Velu is a director of KPA Engineering and SK Industries.
Mr Dinesh added that at least 20 of the affected workers have found jobs in equivalent sectors. #singapore #sgnews
