Hundreds of Malawian nationals continue to gather outside a temporary transit site at the old North Beach drive-in in Durban.

Many want to return home before Tuesday, when anti-illegal immigration groups want undocumented foreign nationals to leave South Africa.

Some Malawian nationals have told SABC Senior Reporter, Taliesha Naidoo, that conditions outside the overcrowded facility are becoming increasingly dire, with many having to wait for hours, and in some cases days, without access to basic necessities.
