India, in partnership with the International Solar Alliance (ISA), is supporting sustainable agriculture in Seychelles through a solar-powered water pumping system. Designed for a small island nation facing challenges in agriculture and water management, the project provides clean energy for irrigation, reducing dependence on diesel and conventional electricity while lowering farming costs. Beyond improving irrigation, the initiative focuses on capacity building by training local farmers and technicians in the operation and maintenance of the system. The project highlights India's commitment to promoting renewable energy, climate resilience, and sustainable development in Seychelles.
