Cashless payments: Some heartland merchants hoping for unified app or QR code

Some heartland merchants CNA spoke to say they are hoping for a unified app or QR code to make payments more seamless. At some shops, cash is still king, accounting for about 70 per cent of transactions. There are plans to improve cashless payment systems like PayNow, to bring more convenience.
