Europe heatwave: Hospitals in France, UK report surge in emergency calls due to extreme heat

A deadly European heatwave has left hospitals saturated, as medics in Britain and France warn facilities are struggling with the heat and a surge in medical calls. Hundreds of deaths linked to the extreme heat have been reported across the continent. At least 55 people have drowned in France while seeking respite from the heat.
